Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to join our successful clinic. As a Massage Therapist, you will tailor massage treatments to your patient's individual needs and health goals. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in a variety of massage styles, possess a deep knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, and work well as part of a holistic wellness team.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Client Assessment and Consultation:
    • Conduct thorough assessments and consultations with clients to understand their medical history, physical conditions, and massage therapy goals.
    • Customize massage treatments based on clients' preferences, health concerns, and desired outcomes.
  2. Massage Therapy Services:
    • Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and hot stone massages, to address clients' specific needs and preferences.
    • Apply appropriate pressure and manipulation techniques to relieve muscle tension, reduce pain, and promote relaxation.
    • Incorporate additional modalities such as aromatherapy, reflexology, and stretching exercises to enhance the effectiveness of massage treatments.
  3. Client Education and Aftercare:
    • Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy, including stress reduction, pain relief, improved circulation, and enhanced flexibility.
    • Provide guidance on post-massage self-care practices, such as hydration, stretching, and relaxation techniques, to maximize the benefits of treatment.
    • Address any questions or concerns clients may have regarding their massage therapy experience and offer recommendations for future sessions.
  4. Hygiene and Safety Standards:
    • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including massage rooms, equipment, and linens, in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Adhere to strict hygiene protocols and infection control measures to ensure the health and safety of clients and staff.
    • Follow proper techniques for draping clients and maintaining their privacy and comfort during massage sessions.
  5. Client Relations and Customer Service:
    • Build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients through attentive service, professionalism, and effective communication.
    • Address client concerns and inquiries promptly and courteously, and take appropriate action to resolve any issues.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive and satisfying experience for every client.
Qualifications
  • Hold current state license and liability insurance to practice massage therapy
  • Capable of performing deep tissue, Swedish, and maternity massage modalities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strongly service oriented with an ability to communicate effectively with clients in a one-on-one setting
  • High level of ethics and integrity.
  • A passion for helping people look and feel their best.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and using hands to manipulate muscles and tissues. Massage Therapists must have sufficient strength and endurance to perform massage techniques effectively.
