Java Developer

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Java Developer for our client in the Consulting/Government Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Location: Carson City, NV

Role: Java Developer

Primary Skills: Java

Role Description: The Java Developer must have at least 4+ years of experience.

Required Skills:

- Hands-on expertise with Java/J2EE (1.8) for web application development.

- Understanding of Angular and Spring framework.

- Experience with SQL-based relational databases such as Db2.

- Experience using unit testing frameworks such as JUNIT or Mocking.

- Good understanding of IBM HTTP, WebSphere servers.

- Strong communication and analytical abilities are needed.

Preferred Skills:

- Basic understanding of Linux OS and commands.

- Familiarity with code versioning (SVN), CI CD tools (Jenkins) is required.

- Prior experience in cloud migration is an added advantage.

- Having knowledge of Maven-based web applications is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

- Designing and develop software.

- Understand detailed business requirements.

- Prepare Technical Design Document

- Expected Deliverable(s)

- Deliver testable code to SIT, UAT and Production.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
