We are seeking a Full Time Cook & Van Driver to join our team! You will assist in the ordering, shopping, preparation, cooking, and serving of meals to our children in our kitchen. You will also be responsible for light janitorial duties in our common areas, as well as driving our van to drop off and pick up some of our schoolers from local elementary schools.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all served food
• Stock new food and take inventory
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
• Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
• Janitorial services: clean and sanitize cafeteria, restrooms and common areas during rest time
• Safely drive a van daily to and from local elementary schools
• Monitoring and being in charge of a small group of children on the van

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cooking and preparing food
• Ability to order and stock food weekly
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in teams
• Ability to be clean and sanitary
• Food handlers certificate is required
• 25 years of age or older
• Comfortable and capable of driving a van
