Salary:

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ER Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position will work 4, 10-hour shifts at night, Mon-Thurs. and requires proficiency in both radiology and laboratory procedures to provide direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing high-quality radiologic exams across all patient populations and conducting various laboratory tests while adhering to established protocols and safety measures.


Key Responsibilities:


Radiology:

  • Perform high-quality radiologic exams on patients to aid in the detection of foreign bodies, diseases, and injuries.
  • Assist physicians in positioning patients and conducting imaging procedures.
  • Practice proper radiation protection techniques and ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in admission, transfer, and dismissal procedures for patients.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure timely distribution of radiology reports and images.

 

Lab:

  • Perform phlebotomy procedures and laboratory testing, including waived and moderate complexity tests.
  • Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Log specimens, enter patient orders, and release test results through designated systems.
  • Process controls and patients through various laboratory instruments.
  • Perform urinalysis, hematology, and serology procedures as required.
  • Reconstitute lab reagents and make manual patient specimen dilutions as needed.
  • Lab portion will be on the job trained.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Sufficient previous clinical experience preferred.
  • For Registered Technologists: High school education; graduate of AMA-approved 2-year college program in Radiologic Technology, military program, or hospital-based school; ARRT registered; maintenance of CEUs as required by ARRT and KS LRT.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to lift, position, and transfer patients weighing up to and occasionally in excess of 200 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
