Prep/Pantry Cook

We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team and assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing all tasks on the prep list, ensuring that all ingredients are labeled and stocked, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Complete all tasks on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen manager

• Label and stock all ingredients on easily accessible shelves

• Wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats

• Measure quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients

• Parboil food, reduce sauces, and start first steps in various dishes

• Clean dishes, wash cooking utensils and cookware, take out the trash, and sanitize the kitchen

• Adhere to all relevant nutritional, sanitary, and safety standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Prep Cook or similar role

• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen

• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

• High school diploma or equivalent
