Qualifications of a Principal: The ideal candidate will be eligible for licensure through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.
- 5+ years’ experience teaching grade/content at building level desired to lead.
- Master’s degree or higher in Educational Leadership
- Current, valid Ohio teaching licensure for grade level area sought.
- Current, valid Ohio Principals licensure for grade level to lead.
- Clearance from a FBI/BCII background check which meets Ohio Revised Code § 3319.39 et seq
- Energetic and love children
Roles & Responsibilities: You are responsible for the education of students assigned to your classroom.
· You will create an environment for learning and student engagement.
· You will utilize data driven practices to drive teachers’ instruction to educate students using the district approved curriculum.
· You will review the teacher’s lesson plans and provide meaningful feedback.
· You will observe classroom instruction and model/co-teach lessons, if applicable.
· You will evaluate staff and employee performance reviews.
· You will maintain management of instructional strategies and discipline techniques used by teachers.
· You will ensure differentiation of lessons is established for all learning styles.
· You will conduct TBT, BLT, and other staff meetings to implement students’ goals and objectives.
· You will communicate with families about student’s academics.
· You will build professional relationships with teachers, colleagues, students, parents and community members.
· You will be a lifelong learner by actively participating in district wide professional development and/or other educational opportunities.
· You will receive ongoing coaching and feedback from the Director of Academics, assigned district coaches and/or trainers.
· You will oversee the administration of assessments and analyze the data with your teaching team.
· You will oversee the schoolwide PBIS program.
