The Facilities & Maintenance team are a robust and energetic team that work well together and is cohesive. We are tasked to perform all types of facility work and ensure that they are completed in a timely manner. The work that we do and the environments we may encounter can be challenging at times but ensure we always stay safe. We have good working relationships with each other and with other departments and support each other every day.


Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also be experienced in both AC and DC power type on different kinds of electrical devices and systems. The goal will be to produce and maintain well-functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize usability of electricity in all facilities.

  • Inspect, test, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, systems, and components in compliance with safety codes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine the best course of action.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Install new electrical equipment, systems, and components as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, systems, and components to extend their life span.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify their root cause.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Repair or replace damaged electrical equipment, systems, and components.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Assist other maintenance staff with repairs as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Report any safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Train new employees on proper safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in the development of project plans and timelines.
  • Record type, size, and location of wiring and equipment, and the color code used.


Candidates must show: 

  • Ability to promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners
  • Technical skills – Working knowledge of computer systems/software and computerized billing
  • Oral presentation skills – Comfortable with delivering briefings and reports to colleagues, conduct training sessions, and any other tasks related to speaking in front of an audience
  • Strong organization skills with an ability to prioritize and plan work activities, uses time efficiently, organizes or schedules other people and their tasks, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment; must be detail-oriented and accurate in work
  • Attendance/Punctuality – Consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift and department or customer scheduled meetings; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Decision-making – Makes sound, well-informed, fact-based decisions and seeks guidance when needed.

 

Here’s what you need to have:

  • Minimum HS diploma or GED equivalent
  • Electrician certification or journeyman license
  • Four or more (4+) years of experience as an electrician in a commercial or industrial setting
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience with high-voltage electrical systems
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills.
  • Regular, punctual, and consistent attendance
  • Must be able to work any shift and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary to meet the needs and goals of the business.
  • Work may be performed at various locations under varying conditions
  • Requires considerable standing, sitting and reading paper documents and electronic communications
  • Requires travel to various locations and company branches in a timely manner
  • Ability to walk, stoop and stand for up to 8 hours or more a day continuously
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform arduous physical tasks including climbing stairs/ladders (15+ ft.), carrying tools and equipment, stooping, bending, walking on uneven surface, and working aloft and in closed spaces
