Fiscal Accountant

Description:

The Experienced Fiscal Accountant at Safe Children Coalition, Inc. plays a crucial role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within the organization. This position involves responsibilities such as financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, auditing, and maintaining accurate financial records. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles are essential for success in this role at Safe Children Coalition, Inc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares budgets for programs within the Foster Care branches. Works closely with respective Vice President and/or designee and submits proposed budgets to the Foster Care Fiscal Administrator or Director of Contract Administration for review.
• Reads and understands all related awarded contracts and grants.
• Oversees payroll allocations as allocated to related contracts and grants.
• Oversees all related expenditures, comparing each to Board-approved budgets and applicable contract, ensuring purchase orders and bidding requirements are met, correct account coding is utilized, and appropriate approvals are obtained.
• Prepares month end adjusting journal entries for related monthly financials using generally accepted accounting principles.

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Requirements:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and five years' experience in accounting.
