Hotel Equities, one of the premier hotel development and management companies in the industry, is currently searching for a Director of Accounting Systems. The Director of Accounting Systems position may be hybrid remote, however living in Atlanta is preferred. The salary compensation will be based on experience.

Position Summary:

The role will report to the SVP of Finance and Accounting, and support both hotel and corporate accounting & administrative systems, processes, and initiatives. While accounting and finance will be the primary focus, support of other departments that utilize the ERP or ancillary systems will also be an essential part of the role. This position will also be pivotal to rolling out new processes and projects as we work towards the integration and optimal use of all accounting systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key Systems

  • Support of key systems will include but are not limited to:
    1. M3 Accounting Core (depreciating 7/1/23)
    2. Adra by Trintech: Balancer, Task Manager, and Analytics
    3. Real Page: Owner’s/Investor’s portal
    4. Concur: Expense Management
    5. NetSuite ERP: Launching 4/1 Corporate and 7/1 Hotel
    6. SharePoint/Teams
  • Special functions within each system may include, but are not limited to:
    1. Set up, activation and deactivation of users & entities/hotels as required.
    2. First line of Troubleshooting within Hotel Equities
    3. Maintenance of Internal Configurations, Reporting Adjustments and required annual tasks
    4. Review upgrade/release notes from systems, coordinate with system vendors, and communicate with internal team on relevant updates and downtime

Transition Support

  • Work with Transition Team & system vendors to build new entities/hotels/locations in all accounting systems and SharePoint/Microsoft Teams.
  • Systems Onboarding
  • Work to ensure that new above property support team members are set up with Accounting Systems access if needed.
  • Ensure new internal accounting team members have access to the correct systems, as needed for their role.
  • Schedule time with new hires in their first week to provide training on Accounting Teams page as well as how things are filed in the Hotel Drives.

You must be willing to submit to a drug test, background check and credit check with acceptable results. EOE/DFW

Job Requirements:

  • Versed in standard accounting systems
  • Ability to trouble shoot and communicate effectively with systems support for various accounting systems
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service approach to ensure all accounting team members are equipped with systems accesses and training needed to be successful
  • Ability to create policies surrounding specific accounting systems and record retention and nomenclature
  • Ability to lead initiatives for new projects
  • Vendor management
  • Can work independently---sell-directed, with minimal need for supervision
  • Servant Leader, proven ability to work as part of a team

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Two to five years industry experience with a preference in the hospitality industry.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree preferred
