Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician - San Juan, PR

Compensation: $15 - $18 per hour DOE

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Pharmacy Technician with strong experience in prescription billing and experience working in a pharmacy for at least two years. The right candidate will be an on-site pharmacy technician.

Client-highlighted qualifications - The candidate should have experience working in a pharmacy and strong expertise in prescription typing and claims billing and fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enter and maintain prescription data using our computer system
• Prescription Billing and reconciliation
• Answer incoming phone calls and field patient questions
• Contact insurance companies for claims resolution
• May need to contact doctor’s offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information.
• Answer clients questions and address customer service issues when they arise
• Learn our computerized software in order to train staff at our partner locations
• Perform the usual tasks of a Pharmacy Technician from a call center without directly handling medications.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Pharmaceutical Technology (bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 2+ years of experience working in a pharmacy
• At least a year of experience in prescription billing
• Willing to be trained and train new staff on our pharmacy software.
• Exemplary verbal communication and customer service skills
• Must possess valid state certification
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be fully bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Able to work in San Juan, PR
