Job Description:

NOW CFO is a leading consulting/outsourcing firm in accounting and finance, with over 17 years of experience and a presence in more than 30 states. We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Columbus team and provide high-quality accounting services to our clients.

As a Staff Accountant, you will handle various accounting tasks, such as revenue recognition, expense categorization, balance sheet accounting, journal entries, and financial statements. You will ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions and reports. You will also perform administrative duties, such as time tracking and client communication. Your goal is to help our clients achieve smooth and efficient financial operations.

The Staff Accountant role is flexible and adaptable to the specific needs and size of each client.

Responsibilities:

• Post transactions and categorize records in the client’s accounting system.
• Maintain and update client accounting records and files, including debt schedules and depreciation schedules.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
• Book accruals and reclasses and perform account reconciliations.
• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and processes.
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
• Meet with clients to discuss confidential accounting issues and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Develop monthly financial reporting package to client leadership, including budget variance analysis.
• Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare documents for audits.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Similar experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role in accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent use of ERP systems.

Compensation: $55,000-$75,000
