New Horizon Family Health Services (NHFHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has been improving the health of the communities we serve since 1992. Details:

  • Under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager, Program Director or Program Coordinator, the Patient Service Representative (PSR) confers with incoming and outgoing patients/visitors, assisting them as needed. The PSR directs patients/visitors to appropriate locations throughout the office; interacts with patients/visitors in a courteous, appropriate, respectful manner at all times and without exception. This position receives incoming calls and routes appropriately, taking messages when necessary and forwarding them to the intended party in a timely, responsible manner. This position maintains accuracy from start to finish of the registration and payment collection process. This position performs the following duties in accordance with the established policy and procedures of New Horizon Family Health Services.

All NHFHS Company employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19.



Education:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Office Training certificate or other relevant education and training beyond high school

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Preferred two years' experience in a medical office or other healthcare facility setting
  • Has the ability to speak and communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, and the public
  • Must be able to understand and follow in detail both verbal and written instructions
  • Demonstrates basic math computation skills
