Job Summary for Delivery Driver

The Shed Delivery Driver is responsible for delivery, set up, and leveling of customer's build orders. The Shed Delivery Driver will ensure a 5-star customer experience by delivering the customer's build order in a professional, courteous, and expeditious manner. Additionally, the Shed Delivery Driver will follow the build order delivery work flow process and report any service situation that may arise during the delivery process. The position will work diligently to maintain a 5-star customer experience throughout the delivery process.

Responsibilities for Delivery Driver

• Contact customers to confirm all details of the order and introduce themselves as a point of contact through delivery.
• Communicate directly with the customer thru phone calls, emails, and text messages on the status of their delivery.
• Deliver customer build order when promised; communicate delivery delays immediately to customers and Customer Service Specialists.
• Install and level building following Ulrich procedures.
• Collect final payment from the customer.
• Ensure 5-star customer service by demonstrating the "Ulrich Experience" which includes but is not limited to interacting with team members and management as necessary.
• Comply with all DOT regulations during the operation of the delivery vehicle.
• Be responsible for scheduling and performing regular vehicle and equipment maintenance. Resolve emergency vehicle or equipment maintenance issues as they arise.

Qualifications for Delivery Driver

• Current Class A CDL license
• No violations on driving record
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job during installation of the building
• Must be able to stoop, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 10-20 lbs. as needed.
• Ability to work effectively with both customers and team members.
• Ability to convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to be proactive and operate with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to adapt to changes and fast-paced work environments.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work tasks.
• Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
• 2-3 years of experience operating a commercial delivery vehicle
• 2-3 years of shed hauling/oversize experience preferred, but not required
