Project Architect

Full Time Project Architect Based in Columbus

BDT is a multidisciplinary design practice. Offering full-service architectural, planning and interior design, we specialize in Healthcare, Higher Education, Commercial and Community markets.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Project Architect to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and inspire a positive environment. Someone who can lead and manage architectural projects on a day-to-day basis from concept design through construction administration.

Position Requirements:

• Registered architect or demonstrated progress toward licensure.
• Five years minimum overall professional experience.
• Ability/desire to travel to regional project sites and occasionally between Athens and Columbus office locations.
• Strong verbal and technical presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in our specialized markets: Healthcare, Higher Education, Retail.
• Proficiency in Revit design platform
• Solid understanding of a wide range of computer applications used in a professional design office: Microsoft 365 suite of products, Adobe design suite / creative cloud, etc.
• Ability to produce fully detailed and coordinate construction documents
• Ability to manage and supervise project teams and workloads
• Mentor, provide oversight, and monitor the work performed by junior staff
• Specification, cost and construction oversight experience
• Business ownership aptitude and ambition
• Understanding the design cycle from Program Development through Construction Documents and into construction administration

Salary: $65,000 to $90,000 per year
