| DOORMAN | POSITION DESCRIPTION

DEPARTMENT: Rooms, Front Desk
REPORTS TO: Director of Rooms / Front Desk Manager
STATUS: Non-exempt

| JOB SUMMARY |

The Doorman is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests arriving, arranging car parking and guest departure. The doorman is the first impression of the hotel, will greet all guests, arrange valet parking, and assist guest with luggage and answer any and all guest questions.

| QUALIFICATION STANDARDS |

Education & Experience:
Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Enjoys seeking out and creating memorable experiences
Drivers License.
Shares the cultural belief that teamwork delivers results.
Loves to SMILE!

Physical requirements:
Ability to work required full time shift.
Lift heavy luggage - Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Ability to stand during entire shift.

| DUTIES & FUNCTIONS |

Fundamental Requirements
Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Hotel in accordance with the Northport Hotel company standards.
Welcome guests at curbside, assist with luggage, present guest to front desk Guest Service Agent
Answer guest inquires about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner.
Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages to guests.
Answer inquires from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
Follow all guest identity security procedures
Be aware of all rates, packages and special promotions.
Be familiar with all in-house groups.
Be familiar with hospitality terminology.
Have knowledge of emergency fire safety procedures and assist as needed.
Use proper two-way radio (Relay) etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
Park overnight guest cars in hotel lot, securing car and logging valet ticket number with front desk
Be able to perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shift checklist in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain a clean work area.
Assist guests with luggage storage.
