Job Description

The Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District is accepting applications for a part-time Park Attendant to support and staff the District's two parks. The position is responsible for greeting park patrons, enforcing park rules, preparing pavilion areas for reservations, as well as facilities and ground maintenance and cleaning.. Duties include monitoring and securing playground and park facilities, assisting patrons in finding reserved table venues for events, monitoring scheduled events to ensure adherence to District park rules and regulations, and providing facilities maintenance as needed (i.e. cleaning, replacing lightbulbs, and restocking restrooms; picking up and emptying trash; clearing and pressure washing walkways of sand and leaves; replacing broken sprinklers; painting on the park grounds). Must have proper conduct and appearance while providing excellent customer service to the public. Must report any misuse or misconduct at the park to District management as necessary. Must also be available to work on weekends and holidays and be able to work in outdoor weather conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of related work experience involving contact with the public. A valid California Driver License is required.

Due to the nature of possible supervisory or disciplinary authority over a minor, as required by law, the position is subject to the California Department of Justice LiveScan, pre-employment Criminal Offence Records Information background check.
