We are looking for an energetic and dependable individual to join our team at Oconto County Department of Health and Human Services, in Oconto, WI.  Oconto County is hiring a full time (37.5 hours/week) WIC Nutrition/Health Educator.  Pay is $27.00/hour.  Responsible for providing nutrition, breastfeeding, client and administrative services and general support for the WIC Program.  Responsible for WIC certification and nutrition education in accordance with the WIC Operations Manual.  This position is also responsible for assisting with project coordination for a variety of public health initiatives including but not limited to community health assessment and planning, health education, community engagement and grant coordination.  
 
This is a contracted position through Community Resource Specialist Staffing Agency (CRSSA).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or a related field, which includes at least six semesters of food and nutrition coursework from an accredited university; or Registered Dietetic Technician.
  • At least one year's experience working in WIC or other public health related agency is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with persons of varying levels of education, socioeconomic backgrounds, and values.
  • Capable of working flexible hours to meet community and program needs.
  • Advanced computer skills and software knowledge; graphic design (e.g. Canva and Publisher) favorable.
