Construction Cost Estimator

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced construction estimator to join our team. You will assist our busy team by producing proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs for construction projects. Our ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in construction estimation and very strong communication and project management skills. $22 - $28 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Calculate construction materials, product costs, labor, and time to estimate overall cost for construction projects
• Follow up with clients on submitted proposal and budgets
• Interface with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors
• Frequent construction sites to gather necessary client requirement information
• Prepare estimates, written proposals, budgets, costs, and updates for clients and project managers

• Qualify bids invited through various platforms with suitable contractors
• Maintain a minimum annual gross margin set forth in the department

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed
• Possess a Bachelors’ degree in civil engineering, construction management, accounting, or related field
• Extensive experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and construction estimating software
• Understanding of accounting, data and risk analysis, research methodology, and estimation metrics is vital
• Excellent project management, time-management, and communication skills are necessary
