Assistant Store Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 1-6 through a shift successfully, ensuring that all of Sundae’s customer experience standards are met or exceeded
  • Assist the Store Manager with training, coaching, and mentoring a team of 8-20 employees in job related skills and customer service techniques
  • Generate positive customer interactions through effective leadership and knowledge of our brand standards and processes
  • Assist with emergency coverage and oversee store operations during short absences of the Store Manager
  • Manage high-quality waffle cone, toppings, and sauces production standards while meeting heavy volume demands
  • Create production preparation lists based on seasonal par levels
  • Assist the Store Manager in sustaining operational inventory levels by monitoring waste and controlling portion sizes
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization, and appearance throughout the store
  • Participate and contribute to regular staff, management, and leadership meetings

Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service experience required
  • 1+ year of foodservice supervisor experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to reliably commute to Glenwood Springs, CO
  • Valid Serv Safe certificate or equivalent (may be obtained within 60 days of hire date)

Physical Requirements:

  • Move, traverse or remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours
  • Constantly use manual (e.g., scooping ice cream) and automatic food service equipment and touchscreens
  • Regularly move up to 25 pounds for a distance of 50 feet or more
  • Occasionally move up to 50 pounds for a distance of 25 feet or more
  • Occasionally ascend/descend ladder to clean or lift items stored above
  • Occasionally position self to clean, maintain equipment, and retrieve items below counter height
