Job Description:

Provides direct support for loan origination software as it relates to systems applications within the entire organization. Oversees the continuous evaluation and testing of loan origination system software and associated interfaces to bring about seamless integration into production that creates a user-friendly environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop our testing methods and procedures along with our testing deliverables.
  • Candidate must write, manage, review test cases, and document it.
  • Create and document test plans, execute tests, analyze results, and report issues and anomalies.
  • Assist business subject matter experts in development of UAT test scenarios for various mortgage products.
  • Assists system admins in replication of application failures.
  • Verifies fixes and enhancements have been applied by executing targeted tests.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains high knowledge level of all areas of first mortgage loan production areas from origination through post purchase and some servicing.
  • Assists corporate operations through leadership, guidance, and operating activities.
  • Works directly with the Branch Training Officer to develop training methods and procedures for introduction/update of new/revised software products.
  • Provides technical support for loan origination, imaging systems, and related interfaces.
  • Prepares and reviews operational reports for appropriate company representatives.
  • Assists corporate and branch employees in trouble shooting loan issues.
  • Communicates issues with all related systems and software providers.

Requirements

Minimum Education Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent in specialized training from a two-year college or technical school combined with at least five years of residential mortgage related experience in loan processing and underwriting fundamentals; related supervisory experience; ability to become thoroughly knowledgeable in branch and corporate operations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Provide support to the entire organization in such tasks as training personnel on various procedures.
  • Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and Rural Housing programs
  • Persuasive attitude with outstanding leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills; detail-oriented aptitude. Will be curious, motivated, and tenacious to “find a solution”.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and evaluate given information relative to lender requirements and underwriting guidelines; customer-service oriented with ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for high interaction with a variety of people inside, outside, and at all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with ability to coordinate several major activities simultaneously.
