The Assistant Regional Manager role is an important responsibility as this person oversees the many working parts of the both Montclair & Hoboken locations and reports to the Regional Manager and Owner.

To be successful in this position, it requires an individual who has a range of skills including handling personnel matters such as hiring, terminations, coaching, conducting performance reviews and discipline when needed. They should possess leadership skills and be able to create a positive work culture that produces well- rounded, loyal, and productive team members.
The Assistant Regional Manager must be able to multi-task and should take ownership of the spa operations including understanding the financial aspects of the business. It is important that they present a professional image.
Experience in guest relations and massage/salon/spa or hospitality management is necessary. Role expectations include meeting/exceeding key performance indicators, facility management, maintaining supplies and overseeing inventory processes, ensuring guest satisfaction, recruiting and training, and employee coaching and development.
Job Description
  • Managing and monitoring all areas of spa operations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures outlined in the Woodhouse Spa Operations Manual.
  • Demonstrating and reinforcing excellent customer service to promote guest satisfaction and retention while acting as a second point of contact for guest issues, including but not limited to follow-up, feedback, and concerns
  • Overseeing marketing initiatives and coordinating reputation management responsibilities.
  • Forecasting revenues to maintain labor costs and monitor expenses against budget and identify areas of opportunity within the business to meet the budget.
  • Understanding, managing and overseeing computer reports and functions to ensure accurate guest records are maintained and required reports are available when needed.
  • Managing employee callouts or day-of scheduling challenges.
  • Performing other projects, work and activities as assigned to ensure the spa is running at optimal performance.
  • Ensuring both locations meet/exceed location goals. Monitor and assist location leaders with creating and coaching the team to achieve departmental and individual goals
  • Overseeing and direct inventory processes including supervision of the ordering of back bar and retail items.
  • Adjusting employee punches and sending payroll reports for each pay period. As well has handling other parts of the payroll process.
  • Coordinating and managing training opportunities for in-spa operations, product knowledge and treatment protocols.
  • Recruiting qualified candidates via employment platforms and agencies, etc.; conduct interviews, create offer letters and terminating employees as necessary.
  • Onboard and lead new employees through:
    • Receiving and scanning New Hire Documents
    • Coordinating and providing a training schedule
    • Ensuring the health and safety of guests and employees is paramount.
    • Guaranteeing compliance with all state and local rules and regulations.
