We are hiring a Director of Install Operations to join our team! This is an opportunity to join an early stage company with an ambitious growth trajectory. The Director of Install Operations designs and operationalizes Treehouse’s customer experience at scale, overseeing installation planning, efficiency, and overall success. The Director ensures delightful electrical installation experiences for customers and installers alike, achieved by a convenient, thorough, and thoughtful project design, approval, and handoff process. As the bridge that connects Sales and Fulfillment, the Director of Install Operations is key to Treehouse’s cross-functional success– creating an environment that fosters mutual understanding, collaboration, and effectiveness across the organization.

The Director of Install Operations:

  • Grows company profitability through the design and implementation of an efficient customer journey that optimizes for service-delivery quality and efficiency.
  • Designs and operationalizes the post-sale customer experience, ensuring professionalism, convenience, and first-time success in project intake, scheduling, and fulfillment while meeting the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborates with Treehouse’s Head Electrician to monitor changes in installation and code requirements to ensure effective Sales training, standard operating procedures, and support infrastructure.
  • Collaborates with product leadership to ensure adequate software functionality and integration to coordinate Sales and Field systems, ensuring programmatic data capture, transfer, and transparency.
  • Designs and implements Treehouse’s third-party logistics (3PL) program, ensuring hardware acquisition and delivery success to meet installation needs.
  • Oversees interconnections and engagement with local utilities to support customers’ electrification needs.
  • Manages in- out out-sourced engineering work to ensure code-compliant plan design.
  • Measures and reports on key performance metrics to monitor and maximize customer experience, performance across the field organization, to track progress toward company goals, to identify areas of opportunity, and to drive business decisions.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Five or more years of experience in operations and process-improvement with leadership of cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a bias for using data to make decisions
  • Foundational knowledge of electrical code and installation requirements
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on interpersonal communications, enabling effective team engagement, performance management, and customer service
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-past, early-stage company environment, comfort with independence, a bias for action, balancing multiple concurrent priorities, and frequent iteration
  • Demonstrated success and comfort communicating to executive audiences
  • Passion for advancing the electrification movement
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-past, early-stage company environment

This position may be based in San Francisco, Denver, or Chicago.
