Onsite position near Des Moines, IA
Pay Range: $26-$37+/hr (depending on experience)

  • Full time position
  • Will consider part time candidate
  • PreK-12th grade caseloads available
  • Will send over candidate preference of caseload
  • More details to be discussed during virtual interview process
  • Directors ready to begin interviewing ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities and special needs
  • Create engaging and effective lesson plans that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and techniques to promote student learning and success
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and families to provide a comprehensive and integrated education program
  • Monitor and track student progress, and provide ongoing feedback and support to students and their families
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and behavior
  • Attend meetings and participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Special Education
  • Iowa teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students who have disabilities and special needs
  • Knowledge of and experience with IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other educators, support staff, and families
