Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist Leader III to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 301. The hourly pay rate for this position is $32.58, plus an additional 4.5% shift premium.

*This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The first half ($1,000) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($1,000) is payable after one consecutive year of employment with the company.*

The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 3:30PM - 12:00AM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturday as well.

Summary: The CNC Machinist Leader III primary responsibilities will be to perform machine set up and machine operation of various CNC machines as needed. Such machines include HMC, VMC, HTL, VTL, Swiss Screw, Multi-Axis lathes, Transfer machines, Robots, etc.; they will possess the skills and abilities to carry out those responsibilities without assistance.

The CNC Machinist Leader III responsibilities will also be to perform various duties including but not limited to: assist on-duty shift supervisor with meeting daily production requirements, help assess and assign the day's work and labor appropriately, special projects, planning, training, occasionally working with outside vendors, and provide coverage for Shift Supervisor or Relief Supervisor on an as needed basis. This position will help monitor work activities, coach, instruct and assist personnel with meeting daily requirements such as: machine set up, machine operations, trouble shooting, etc...

While providing relief of the Shift Supervisor when the Supervisor, Relief Supervisor and Manager are not available, they will maintain safe operations; prioritize daily activities to ensure timely shipment of quality products to meet customers' requirements.

The individual will have good organizational, math, communication, and computer skills. Personal hand tools and measuring instruments are required. (See list below)

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 1-year related leadership experience, training or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-year related machining experience, training or equivalent
