Job Description
Position Summary: Coordinates and administers human resources. Includes recruiting and retention, payroll processing, regulatory compliance, benefits, training, safety, and employee relations. Administers office related needs. Assists with basic accounting activities.
Human Resources:
• Serves as a liaison between management and employees; advises management of potential problem areas and makes recommendations for appropriate solutions.
• Maintains professional and courteous demeanor with employees, works to resolve issues in a timely manner, and retains HR presence in meetings as required.
• Oversees recruiting, testing, and selection process for hiring, according to company standards.
• Works with contracts for outside agencies to provide employee services.
• Conducts new employee orientations and initial training according to company guidelines.
• Coordinates and executes payroll processing in a timely and accurate manner.
• Performs all attendance and related time-keeping events.
• Oversees ISO training and safety programs to provide accurate documentation, monitor activities, maintain reporting requirements, and related activities.
• Manages and executes benefit administration process including enrollments, terminations and change reporting. Processes required procedures and documents through payroll and insurance providers.
• Maintains company compliances with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
• Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• Maintains all company personnel records and related activities.
• Assists with investigations of workplace accidents and coordinates Workers’ Compensation issues.
• Administers OSHA required safety training, and completes reports as required.
• Coordinates safety program, upholding policy and procedures; makes safety recommendations regarding safe-guarding employees and visitors to the facility.
• Keeps management apprised of all issues related to safety.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Accounting:
• Under direction of Finance department, performs basic accounting functions such as A/P and A/R when necessary.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor or Associates degree preferred, or minimum of 2-5 Years experience in human resources to include payroll processing and accounting working knowledge
- Experience in office management a plus
- 2+ Years safety experience preferred
- Working knowledge of HR, benefits, and safety relating to Federal and State regulations
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office and proficient PC skills
- Affiliation with human resources programs and HR organizations a positive
