POSITION –CNC Machinist

JOB LOCATION –Hudson, WI

START DATE –Immediately

EMPLOYMENT TERM –Direct Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE –Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) –Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm (some flexibility on start/end times)

STARTING PAY –$26-$30/hr DOE

REQUIRED EDUCATION –High School Diploma/GED preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE –1-2 years of experience and/or training and education equivalent preferred

A CNC Machinist produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. Maintains quality and safety standards, has a strong attention to details, and maintains equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up of machines including mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, bushings, cams, gears, stops, etc.
• Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Load machines by lifting stock into position.
• Verify settings be measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
• Adjust controls, sharpen, and replace worn tools.
• Follow quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Take measurements to detect malfunctions and troubleshoot processes.
• Document actions by completing production and quality records.

Qualifications:

• Two-year degree in machining field and/or equivalent experience and education preferred
• Previous experience in CNC machining
• Proficiency in measuring/inspection tools (micrometer, caliper, gauges, etc.)
• Excellent problem solving capabilities
• Ability to multi-task with accuracy and efficiency
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings and prints
