Ample seeks an Accounting Intern to join our team, in either a General Ledger/Audit track or in Tax track. Ample's future hire will join a growing team of dynamic professionals and report directly to Ample's Accounting Manager.

GENERAL LEDGER/AUDIT TRACK

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with various elements of the accounts payable & month-end close process
  • Assist with 2022-2023 audit
  • Assist with new systems implementation
  • Assist with documentation of accounting procedures and guidelines

TAX TRACK

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with completing Sales/Use tax exemption certificates
  • Assist with refining use tax accruals
  • Assist with tax preparation for Federal & California income tax filings in the fall
  • Assist with preparing IRS Form 1042
  • Assist with ad hoc inquiries regarding international tax

GRADE LEVEL:

Graduate MSA student, at least two graduate semesters completed of a two year program, or one graduate semester of a one-year program

REQUIREMENTS:

  • For the General Ledger/Audit Track - Has completed the following coursework:
    • Intermediate Accounting (1st semester)
    • Audit
    • Accounting Information Systems
  • For the Tax track - Has completed coursework in the following areas:
    • Income Tax
    • bonus: State & Local tax coursework or experience
  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, self-directed and excited to step outside the role and help in various ways

Days/Hours per Week: 5 days/week in-office
