Summary:

We are a hub of generosity, providing food for over 140,000 meals a day to help provide for families. The Mid-Ohio Foodbank has the advanced logistics & warehouse to distribute millions of pounds of food - nearly 65% fresh - to our communities. Bringing everyone to the table. Mid-Ohio Kitchen provides quality nourishment for all while helping to foster the positive impact that fresh food has on the physical and mental health of our customers. Owned and operated by the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, services include a pay-what-you-can restaurant, community meals, Kid's Café meal services, and premium catering services. Each service aligns with the collective mission to co-create sustainable communities where everyone thrives while fighting to end hunger one nourishing meal at a time.

Primary Duties:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to alter the direction of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective by innovating how we source food for our neighbors. You will participate in key research projects examining the roadblocks and barriers to equity in our communities. Through community assessments, demographic data analysis, surveys, and other research, you will critically analyze the needs of our 20-county footprint that are unmet by our current sourcing practices. Compiling all research results, you will present your findings to key internal decision makers and collaborate with other foodbankers to build a revised Food Sourcing Strategy. Ultimately, your efforts will bring greater equity to our work in sourcing and distributing wholesome foods to the community. Join our team today!
