Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Urology Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Urology Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of our urology practice. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians in patient examinations and procedures, recording patient medical histories, and managing patient documentation. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, handling phone inquiries, and ensuring a seamless flow of patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist urologists in patient examinations and medical procedures.

2. Record and maintain accurate patient medical histories and vital signs.

3. Manage patient documentation, including updating electronic health records.

4. Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits.

5. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies.

6. Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and treatment plans.

7. Handle phone inquiries, addressing patient concerns, and relaying messages to the medical team.

8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

9. Adhere to medical confidentiality and compliance with all healthcare regulations.

10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards.


Qualifications:

1. Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.

2. Prior experience in a urology or related medical setting is preferred.

3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic urological procedures.

5. Proficient in using electronic health record systems.

6. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

7. Compassionate and patient-focused approach to healthcare.

8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

9. Diploma/GED, Completion of a MA program is a PLUS
