Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work or related field preferred. Will accept equivalent experience.
  2. Knowledge of community resources.
  3. Cultural sensitivity, awareness and knowledge.
  4. Strong Communication Skills
  5. Clean and neat appearance and pleasant demeanor
  6. Must be 21 years old or over.
  7. Bilingual Spanish required.
  8. A valid California driver’s license with less than two minor moving violations is required.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Provide parent and staff training.
  2. Provide classroom observations.
  3. Provide Head Start and CCCDS staff consultation and training.
  4. Identify high-risk needs in youth and provide resources and referral information.
  5. Maintain case management charts including legal paperwork and progress notes per agency policies. 
  6. Attend Child Success Team meetings and program meetings as needed.
  7. Ability to work harmoniously with others.
  8. Ability to communicate ideas in oral and written form.
  9. Physical and mental health adequate to perform duties.
  10. A genuine caring of and commitment to families in the community.
  11. Be open and flexible to change.
  12. Must possess knowledge of mental health programs and community resources.
  13. Effectively use de-escalation skills and techniques for crisis prevention.
  14. Perform job duties in a manner assuring a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  15. Maintain confidential information according to legal standard and/or local regulations as required.
  16. Sound personal qualifications (i.e., maturity, stability, high moral standards, and sound mental health and physical ability to perform job duties)

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordination when coordinating and connecting families to services and resources.
  2. Teach and model appropriate intervention skills for family.

  5. Administer program measurements tools and surveys to track and report program data and outcomes.

  8. Responsible for maintaining a culture of quality and safety.
  9. Effectively use de-escalation skills and techniques for crisis prevention
  10. Properly administer the C-SSRS to help prevent

  1. Attend all required meetings.
  2. Report any suspected child or dependent adult/elder abuse or neglect immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
  3. Report any client imminent danger to self or to others or gravely disabled immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
  4. Other duties as assigned.
