Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work or related field preferred. Will accept equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Cultural sensitivity, awareness and knowledge.
- Strong Communication Skills
- Clean and neat appearance and pleasant demeanor
- Must be 21 years old or over.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
- A valid California driver’s license with less than two minor moving violations is required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide parent and staff training.
- Provide classroom observations.
- Provide Head Start and CCCDS staff consultation and training.
- Identify high-risk needs in youth and provide resources and referral information.
- Maintain case management charts including legal paperwork and progress notes per agency policies.
- Attend Child Success Team meetings and program meetings as needed.
- Ability to work harmoniously with others.
- Ability to communicate ideas in oral and written form.
- Physical and mental health adequate to perform duties.
- A genuine caring of and commitment to families in the community.
- Be open and flexible to change.
- Must possess knowledge of mental health programs and community resources.
- Effectively use de-escalation skills and techniques for crisis prevention.
- Perform job duties in a manner assuring a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Maintain confidential information according to legal standard and/or local regulations as required.
- Sound personal qualifications (i.e., maturity, stability, high moral standards, and sound mental health and physical ability to perform job duties)
Responsibilities:
- Coordination when coordinating and connecting families to services and resources.
- Teach and model appropriate intervention skills for family.
- Delivers education on mental health resources and healthy lifestyles in the community.
- Provide documentation on each contact with child/family.
- Administer program measurements tools and surveys to track and report program data and outcomes.
- Attend staff trainings as requested.
- Responsible for preventing and controlling infection.
- Responsible for maintaining a culture of quality and safety.
- Effectively use de-escalation skills and techniques for crisis prevention
- Properly administer the C-SSRS to help prevent
Other:
- Attend all required meetings.
- Report any suspected child or dependent adult/elder abuse or neglect immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
- Report any client imminent danger to self or to others or gravely disabled immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
- Other duties as assigned.
