Who You Are

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee our manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient maintenance processes, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing plant performance. This is a key leadership role that requires strong managerial skills and a deep understanding of maintenance, production, and process improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall plant performance
  • Oversee aspects of the manufacturing process
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among plant employees
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles
  • Manage the budget and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective operations
  • Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and employee development
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years experience managing in a related field
  • Proven experience in plant maintenance management or a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of production systems
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Solid understanding of quality control standards and practices
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes
  • Move items up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts
  • Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time
  • Reach low shelves or items on the floor
  • Enter spaces narrower than 3 feet
  • Climb stairs or over containment walls

The starting base pay for this role is between $114,000 and $144,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
