Job Description
THIS ROLE IS SEASONAL (3 MONTHS ONLY)

THE OPPORTUNITY:


This position is responsible for order picking for customer orders. Packaging and palletizing of orders per classifications. The individual will also prepare small package shipments for UPS shipping

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Picking and packing orders for customer shipments.
  • Performing cycle counts.
  • Keep assigned area clean and organized.
  • Training of others may be required.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations of the organization, including reporting hazards, incidents, or accidents. Comply with all applicable safety statements.
  • Other Duties as assigned

(FOR THOSE MANAGING TEAMS)

· This role does not have any supervisory requirements.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Experience – Entry level role.
  • Minimum Education – High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic understanding of computers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred Experience – 2 years’ experience in similar shipping and receiving role.
  • Knowledge of shipping practices and procedures.

  • The individual must possess good communication skills both verbally and written.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear in an industrial environment. Frequent climbing, walking, kneeling, reaching, and standing in indoor and outdoor industrial environments. Occasional exposure to weather, wet/humid environment, and noise. The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
