Position Summary

Responsible for managing all aspects of Lounge, Banquet Beverage, and Floor Beverage operations, ensuring services and offerings are commensurate with guests’ expectations while consistently enforcing the established service standards.

Essential Functions

  • Manages the daily operations and administrative responsibilities of all Chinook Winds Beverage operations.
  • Works in conjunction with the Banquet Manager in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Beverage policies and procedures.
  • Attends meetings related to Beverage operations to ensure compliance with Chinook Winds policies, OLCC, NIGA, Tribal policies, State Compact, and Tribal gaming regulations.
  • Ensures the execution of service expectations and core values.
  • Ensure all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
  • Responsible for all long- and short-term planning and day to day operations of Chinook Winds Beverage programs.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of the Beverage Department budget and MBOs.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains all related service standards.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates goals, objectives, programs, promotions, budgets, policies and procedures for Beverage operations cost controls and reporting requirements.
  • Manages employees during the shift and ensures appropriate professional standards of behavior, work standards, productivity, practices, and customer care are enforced.
  • Monitors staff performance to ensure Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards are achieved.
  • Ensures the appropriate team member scheduling and staffing is sufficient.
  • Completes, monitors, and develops staff through evaluation and development plans.
  • Mentors, trains, and develops staff as it relates to service and sales.
  • Trains employees in designated areas and monitors progress.
  • Develops and maintains a teamwork environment.
  • Handles all personnel issues in a timely manner according to Chinook Winds policies and procedures.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors programs that ensure a safe, clean facility and work environment that is in compliance with all appropriate regulations.
  • Keeps current on trends within the hospitality, convention, restaurant, vacation, and travel industries.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED.

AA or BA in Hospitality preferred.

Experience

Five years Management experience in the Gaming/Hospitality industry.

Five years minimum experience in high-volume beverage operations.

Experience in Beverage inventory and tracking systems required.

Experience in dealing with Beer, Wine, and Liquor vendors required.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office intermediate level to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to troubleshoot, administer, and train others on POS system.

Certificates & Licenses

Valid Driver’s License.

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.

Must have OLCC temporary permit before the start date and obtain OLCC Permit within 45 days of the start date.

Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit before the start date.

Must obtain VIP (Visually Impaired Persons) Permit within 45 days of employment.

Other Requirements

Knowledge of regulations governing alcohol sales.

Availability to work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends per business needs and demands.
