Summary of Responsibilities:

The Grill Station Attendant will be responsible for preparing and serving food and beverage to Members and Guests at the Grill Stations. This position must also communicate with the beverage carts to service golfers at all three courses. The is a Seasonal position with a preferred start date in April and running through November.

Essential Functions:

  • Take beverage and food orders from servers and guests
  • Ability to operate a grill
    • Cook hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.
  • Observe all requirements and restrictions set forth by the NJ Alcohol Beverage Control Board (ABC) when serving alcohol
  • Opening and closing duties associated with this station
    • Set- up and break-down of stations
  • Maintain a clean and well stocked cart and kitchen with snacks and beverages
  • Assist with moving of furniture on Club property
  • Observe appropriate sanitation and safety standards while handling food and beverages
  • Clean grill stations and beverage carts on a daily basis; ensure carts and stations are stored properly
  • Ensure all products and supplies are returned to their proper location at the end of every shift
  • Communicate with beverage carts to deliver food and drink to golfers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers/supervisors

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Graduate

Required Qualifications:

  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members/guests
  • Must be able to operate a golf cart safely and efficiently; have a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to utilize caution when operating golf cart
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to follow proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to follow Tagmarshal and Golf Map for appropriate route
  • TIPS Certified preferred
  • Must be a team player and willing to work well with others

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to handle many tasks at once
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe and lift to perform job functions
  • Ability to reach, bend, lift, carry up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
  • Must be able to work day and/or night hours, occasional long hours, weekends and holidays

Safety Hazards:

  • Operating a vehicle while outside during inclement, hot, varied weather
  • Moderate and limited exposure to physical risk and flying golf balls
  • General food and beverage environment with some exposure to heat from cooking areas, lifting of kegs, cases of beer, bottled water, Gatorades etc., and handling of sharp objects such as flatware
