Description

UDR, Inc. is now hiring a Summer Intern to join our Human Resources, supporting instructional design on our Learning & Development team, in our corporate office in Highlands Ranch.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for collaborating with others in the department to assess and develop instructional design content.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Manager - HR

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities will vary based upon the current state of a given project and/or departmental needs. Incumbent can be expected to have an opportunity to perform the following tasks:

  • Ability to navigate learning management systems (LMS).
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development team to identify training needs.
  • Apply instructional design theories and methods and utilize multimedia tools to enhance the learning process.
  • Working on ad hoc projects as assigned by HR Team Leaders.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Become familiar with organizational policies and procedures. Appreciation of business concepts and requirements.
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and statistics. Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving and decision making skills. May require the ability to read, analyzes, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to use research analysis in order to provide support to the business unit assigned to. The individual must be energetic, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously with quick turnarounds and tight deadlines.
    Proficiency in public speaking and presentation skill at all organizational levels, specifically the Senior Management Team. Ability to respond professionally and concisely to any inquiries specific to a presentation or work product.
  • Must be a self-starter and have strong organizational and analytical skills, effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to professionally work well with others and to maintain positive relationships with co-workers, Company managers, clients, and customers both internal and external.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point and an ability to learn and utilize other software products needed. Ability to perform numerous administrative duties and to create, compose, and edit written materials. Skilled in the use of spreadsheet and relational database.


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some bending, stooping, and stretching. Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

In order to apply, applicants must be:
1. Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in real estate and/or general business.
2. Proficiency and successful demonstration of Microsoft Excel.
3. Able to demonstrate leadership abilities and excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license unless otherwise noted.

Pay: $22-25/hr.
