Position Summary:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be an integral part of our educational team, providing specialized instruction and support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Your role will involve developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum, and fostering an inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs.
  • Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to meet the unique learning requirements of each student.
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to address individual student goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure students' success.
  • Assess student progress and modify instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Georgia teaching certification in Special Education (P-12).
  • Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and meeting the needs of diverse learners.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
