JOB PURPOSE

Position will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the local truck wash. Plan, direct, and coordinates truck wash activities and 11 staff under the direction of the Truck Wash Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Supports the overall communication of daily goals and work assignments directly with employees
  • Trains employees utilizing truck wash procedures for washing trailers
  • Ensures the wash and TADD (Thermal Assisted Drying and Decontamination) logs are completed accurately
  • Inspects the washed trailers for cleanliness to ensure company quality standards have been met.
  • Maintain audits for transportation equipment, drivers, and truck wash
  • Follow schedule & order provided by supervisor and the scheduler to conduct wash and bio-dry process of trailers in proper order
  • Inspect all trailers for proper cleanliness and damage
  • Assist in the overall safely of the truck wash
  • Monitor all equipment inside the truck wash and bio-dry facility and report any deficiencies to the supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and Clear MVR required.
  • Class A CDL license preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people such as employees, managers, and senior management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to hot, cold, and humid conditions. The employee may work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration may exist. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.
