Summary of Responsibilities:

Are you a Cardinals fan seeking a second or seasonal part-time job? Do you enjoy interacting with people, especially baseball fans? The St. Louis Cardinals Publications Department is seeking personable and enthusiastic individuals to join our Busch Stadium sales team as onsite Publications Sales Associate of the team's flagship publication, Cardinals Magazine, as well as the Cardinals Yearbook and Cardinals Scorecard. You'll be in the center of the gameday energy, the first faces fans see as they enter the gates. You will be selling the ideal souvenirs to enhance their enjoyment of following the Cardinals.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Sell products at gates during games, with occasional shifts to observe or supervise other vendors to help create an effective, team-wide sales approach.
  • Keep accurate counts of inventory and sales revenue for multiple products.
  • Prepare daily sales reports and analyze data to maximize future sales and ensure availability of products
  • Adjust "in the moment" to day-of-game crowd trends to capitalize on sales opportunities, while bringing an engaging, vocal "presence" to sales booth.
  • Meet regularly with the Publications Department for guidance and discussion regarding in-park sales and to share ideas for product promotion.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Availability to work most Cardinals home games, from Opening Day through the postseason, averaging four hours per game.
  • Passion for Cardinals baseball that's conveyed by an outgoing personality.
  • Prior retail/customer service experience with excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and money-management skills.
  • Ability to stand throughout shift and periodically lift boxes of product (up to 25 pounds) with accomodations available for individuals with disabilities as per ADA requirements.
  • Effective communication skills to describe and discuss product features clearly and accurately.
