We are seeking an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.

Job Summary

The HP Coater B Wind Up Operator will perform various duties in running and operating the wind up and material handling to help produce quality coated products. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand and utilize Coater safety equipment and procedures
  • Know and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Understand RCRA and MSDS labeling and “Right to Know” requirement
  • Know all Coater emergency procedures
  • Have a working knowledge of the production scheduling system and special instructions noted on production schedules
  • Have a working knowledge of and utilize all procedures necessary to perform the following duties: 
  • Startup, lineout, and shutdown of Coater
  • Operate all windup control panel functions
  • Safe operation of all required material handling equipment
  • Change pad rolls and coatings during changeover
  • Roll splicing as required by product type or scheduling
  • Finished roll handling and packaging
  • Operate hoist   & Assemble packaging material 
  • Understand and use procedures for properly banding materials to skid 
  • Create good receipt labels for coated product  & Properly use the SAP system 
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area Understand the quality system and all quality procedures relevant to this position
  • Inspect sheet at Machine during process 
  • Assist Coater Crew Leader in taking window shade and quality samples as required
  • Assist Coater Crew Leader in performing all required quality tests
  • Complete coater logs, reports, records and all necessary paperwork
  • Document and report all mechanical and electrical problems to Crew Leader
  • Report any and all quality or task difficulties to Crew Leader or appropriate personnel
  • Perform any additional duties as requested to meet business or production conditions or changes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma / GED

Work Environment and Environmental Conditions

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed
  • Frequently positions self to use/maintain personal protective equipment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Comfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc.  
  • Ability to detect, distinguish, or determine the source of a smell 
  • Exposure or works around chemical processing, unregulated temperature, dusty conditions 
  • No travel requirements
