Position Overview:

The Sales Associate position assists our sales and engineering teams. This includes handling incoming/outgoing phone calls, emails for new and existing sales, contract/ticket creation, invoicing and account receivables.

Principal Duties:

  • Support business group in rental revenue growth and margin expansion by providing quality customer service through effective and concise communication.
  • Improve the customer experience from time of inquiry, jobsite assessment, proposal delivery, operations turnover, equipment delivery/service/renewal/teardown/return.
  • Assist customer with equipment sizing complete with engineered drawings, bill of materials and cost/pricing recommendations. Scope includes cooling, heating, dehumidification and power.
  • Provide office based field support resources to assess rental project opportunities, applications, and equipment selections as required.
  • Assists Account Manager to provide quoting, estimating, CRM support, invoicing, order writing, travel arrangements, promotional material and call support for outside sales organization.
  • Work alongside Sales Interns in support of them learning the skills and duties required to potentially move into the Sales Associate role.
  • Support Account Manager with all Web inquiries and 800# calls with customer follow up and dispatch. Available for night and weekend phone on-call duties.
  • Familiarize with different types of industry leading temporary cooling and heating equipment.
  • Assist Account Managers in conducting job site walks and analyze and develop engineering solution for the customer’s application.
  • The Sales Associate understands their training is for potential conversion to Outside Sales Representative and to be placed in an existing or greenfield market.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Two-year Associate Degree in related field and/or two years’ similar experience.
  • Effectively communicates via telephone, in-person, and through email/text message.
  • Understands written contracts/purchase orders from new or existing customers.
  • Available to work additional hours during peak seasons or when required by management.
  • Available to travel and/or willing to relocate.
