Paint Application Programmer

The ideal candidate should have the following attributes and/or skills:

  • Technical/Mechanical Certification and/or classes
  • Durr Robot Certification, preferred
  • Knowledge of teach pendant function and terminology
  • Expert level knowledge of robot functionality
  • 7+ years of experience working with robots
  • Work autonomously
  • Able to prioritize work
  • Flexible changing from project to project
  • Safety Conscious
  • Work well within team concept

Main Duties

  • Reaching the highest process reliability in the paint shop department and lining department, where robots are used
  • Increasing the economic use of robots
  • Reducing time, which is needed for the programming process, starts with the release in the paint shop and ends with the utilization in the production
  • Maintaining the functionality of the robot systems
  • To generate a consistent application of all robots in the paint shop and lamination
  • To realize defects, to analyze them and to avoid malfunction by taking appropriated measures
  • To coordinate maintenance, repair and reconstruction work tasks in cooperation with shift supervisors, electronics technicians of industrial manufacturing equipment and service staff from outside
  • To improve or rather to introduce application systems but also flame treatment technologies or identification systems, which are up-to-date
  • To create maintenance schedules to check the execution
  • To record the reparation of the robots
  • To purchase, to secure and to store replacements
  • To organize the acquisition of the programs for the robots in the teaching room and if necessary also in the paint shop or rather the lining department and to optimize the details in the production process
  • To administrate all robot programs, the list of programs and to bring the backups up to date
  • Participation in the creating process of coating hooks
  • To conduct a training as an “internal trainer”
  • To be reliable for the planning and purchasing processes of new robots and control panels
