ComResource is looking for an IT Program Manager.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Program Manager to lead and oversee IT projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT programs that align with the company’s strategic objectives and meet the needs of our stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of IT systems and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Planning and Strategy:
    • Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to define IT program objectives, scope, and deliverables.
    • Develop comprehensive program plans, timelines, and budgets, taking into account resource requirements and constraints.
    • Align IT programs with organizational goals and strategic priorities, ensuring that they contribute to business growth and innovation.
    • Establish governance structures and performance metrics to monitor program progress and outcomes.
  • Project Execution and Management:
    • Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure that tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
    • Monitor program risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as needed to minimize disruptions and delays.
    • Conduct regular project reviews and status updates, communicating progress, and challenges.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
    • Implement best practices and standards for IT program management, leveraging industry frameworks such as PMI.
    • Establish processes and procedures for quality assurance, risk management, and change control within IT programs.
    • Monitor program performance against predefined metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT organization, encouraging innovation, learning, and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Resource Management and Capacity Planning:
    • Supervise and mentor a team of project managers and business analysts.
    • Collaborate with resource managers and department heads to ensure adequate staffing and resource allocation for IT projects.
    • Maintain a centralized resource management system to track resource availability, utilization, and capacity across projects.
    • Conduct resource planning and forecasting to identify potential bottlenecks or resource constraints and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Continuous Improvement and Training:
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the team to enhance project delivery processes, tools, and capabilities.
    • Identify training and development needs for project managers, business analysts, and project teams, coordinating the delivery of relevant training programs or workshops.
    • Foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization, encouraging innovation and collaboration.

Essentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in IT program management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects and initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align IT programs with business goals and drive organizational change.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile/Scrum) are highly desirable.
