Job Description
The Litigation Paralegal role entails conducting investigations, researching facts, and preparing documentation to support assigned attorneys. Key responsibilities include managing cases accurately, maintaining timely communication with clients and attorneys, and ensuring efficient case progress.

This position is office-based, Monday to Friday.
Salary: $50,000-62,500/year based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, review, and organize medical records.
  • Conduct investigations into insurance coverage.
  • Prepare, calculate, and update damage summaries, including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage.
  • Manage daily mail logs.
  • Coordinate the forwarding of medical records to insurance carriers.
  • Draft necessary correspondence for case management.
  • Assist in balancing verifications and resolving subrogation liens.
  • Process check requests, maintain records, and handle check mailings.
  • Support attorneys in settlement documentation and disbursements.
  • Prepare disbursement summaries.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status.
  • Generate weekly reports and participate in monthly team meetings.
  • Provide backup support for team members when needed.
  • Meet or exceed established goals.
  • Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with legal practices, procedures, and business practices.
  • Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Competency in computer usage and relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of research procedures and legal documentation preparation.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Paralegal certificate mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
