Part Time Pet Sitter/Dog Walker: Mornings, Evenings and Weekends

We may have just the right job for you.  No Place Like Home Pet Sitting & Dog Walking, located in Haddon Heights NJ, is looking to add 1-2 pet care specialists to our growing employee team. If you have consistent availability Monday-Friday between 7:00 and 11:00 am and/or 4:00-9:00 pm, and weekends, and would like to work in a fun, casual work environment, this may be the job for you! This is an ideal position for active retirees, college students, and stay at home parents.

** Please note, this is a supplemental income position, averaging 10-15 hours per week. Additional hours may be available during our busy periods.**

This is not a summer or seasonable position. We will only consider those who are available year round.

Job Responsibilities:

• Walk and care for (feed, medicate, cuddle) dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds and temperaments (please note we DO NOT provide service for aggressive dogs)
•  provide cat/kitten care and occasional care for fish, birds, small pets such as rabbits, hamsters and gerbils, and the occasional reptile
• Follow your schedule on our easy to use phone app with accuracy and timeliness
• Provide clients with well-written and detailed updates on their pet's visit, take photos of pets, and ensure that pet and client's home is secure before completing your visit

The ideal candidate for this position resides in one of the towns we service (Haddon Heights, Haddonfield, Collingswood, Oaklyn, Audubon, Barrington, Haddon Township) and understands the safety and priority of the animals in their care. He/she/they should be an independent and reliable self-starter with lots of energy and a passion for pets, be flexible as schedules can change based on client's needs, and have the confidence and patience needed to walk large energetic adult dogs and care for adorable untrained puppies. 

Some basic job requirements:

• US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US for at least the next 12 months
• Able to receive direct deposit paychecks
• Able to commit to this position for 12 months from date of hire
• Must be available to work M-F from 10-3
• Must be available to work some holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) ** Please note, you will not have to work a full day on a holiday, typically team members work 2-5 hours on a holiday
• Possess a valid and clean driver's license and have access to a reliable and insured vehicle during working hours
• Possess a smartphone with unlimited data since we use an app for scheduling, time clock, client/pet information, etc. 
• Must be able to care for both dogs and cats
• This position requires a good bit of walking, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting (up to 30 lbs.)
• Prior professional pet care experience is a plus
