We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Collection Support Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is vital to ensuring the financial health of our organization and maintaining strong relationships with patients and payers.

As a Medical Collection Support Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the medical billing and collection process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the revenue cycle management of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Billing and Claims Processing:
- Generate and submit accurate medical claims to insurance providers.
- Review and verify patient insurance information.
- Address claim denials and resubmit claims as necessary.
2. Patient Billing and Communication:
- Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, providing clear and concise explanations.
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.
- Set up and manage payment plans, as needed.
3. Collections Management:
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Contact patients and insurance companies to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure timely collections.
- Document all collection activities and maintain accurate records.
4. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and collection efforts.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving collection processes.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Proven experience in medical billing and collections.
3. Knowledge of medical billing software and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
4. Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement systems and insurance processes.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
