Job Description

Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Systematic and/or Constructive Theology at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher. This person will teach introductory and advanced courses in theology. Familiarity with diverse theological perspectives (feminist, womanist, liberationist, post-colonial, etc.) is expected. Competence in a secondary discipline is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage and equip students for ministry in diverse contexts.


Applicants should possess a Ph.D. or Th.D. appropriate to the responsibilities of the position. Exceptional ABD candidates may also apply. Teaching experience and ministry experience are required.


Full-time faculty appointment with an anticipated start date of August 2024. Teaching load of 18 credits per academic year distributed across Fall Term, Spring Term, and May Term. Teaching modalities include in-person, hybrid, and online.
