FL-Waiter/Server - Fort Lauderdale

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Waiter/Server to join our team and provide exceptional service to our valued guests. As a Waiter/Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience by delivering outstanding customer service, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

   • Welcome guests, provide menus, and assist in making menu selections based on their preferences.
   • Offer suggestions and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
   • Provide attentive and friendly service throughout the dining experience.
   • Address any customer concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.

2. Order Taking and Serving:

   • Take precise and complete orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to specific dietary requirements or allergies.
   • Enter orders into the POS system accurately and efficiently.
   • Deliver orders to tables in a timely manner while ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
   • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely delivery of food items.

3. Table Maintenance:

   • Set up tables with appropriate utensils, condiments, and tableware.
   • Clear and clean tables after each guest's departure, ensuring a tidy and welcoming dining area.
   • Reset tables efficiently for new guests, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
   • Ensure that glasses, silverware, and other supplies are always stocked and readily available.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work closely with the kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure efficient operations and a seamless guest experience.
   • Communicate special requests, menu changes, and any relevant information to the kitchen staff promptly.
   • Collaborate with fellow servers to provide exceptional service and handle workload efficiently.

5. Knowledge and Compliance:

   • Stay updated on menu items, specials, and beverage offerings.
   • Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
   • Follow established procedures for handling payments, issuing receipts, and closing out checks accurately.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a waiter/server is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food and beverage terminology, including understanding dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
