Bartender

Position Summary

Cedar Ridge is seeking knowledgeable, outgoing, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as part-time and/or full-time bartenders. Availability must include holidays, nights, and weekends.

Cedar Ridge is not only a bar that serves craft cocktails with Iowa-Made spirits, we are also a restaurant, event center, visitor center, winery, and distillery. The staff holds a key role in the guest experience by representing each of these areas that live under one roof. From our spirits to our team members we aim to provide our guests with an Authentic by Nature experience when they visit Cedar Ridge Winery and Distillery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests.
• Visible behind the bar at all times to assist both guests and team members.
• Be courteous, understanding, and helpful to all guests and team members.
• Effectively communicate and work well with both team members and management.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures in a timely manner.
• Possess up-to-date knowledge of all menu items. Including food, beverage, spirits/wines, and retail.
• Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
• Keep all stemware, bar equipment, and bar areas clean both during and after service.
• Be knowledgeable about Cedar Ridge’s Mission and Vision as an establishment.
• Demonstrate excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Have a base knowledge of spirits and wine with a desire to learn more.
• Assess customer needs and preferences and make recommendations accordingly.
• Previous bartending experience is preferred, but not required.

Average pay including tips is $20 per hour

Experience:

• Bartending: 1 year (Preferred)
• Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
