Travel Nurse (RN) Tele/Stepdown (Telemetry/PCU)

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Step down 48's

Shift: Nights/ 7p-7:30a, 12x4, 48 hrs per week, Open to 36's, EOW, Weekdays, Holidays within contract

Requirements:

• VA/Compact License in hand
• 3 years experience preferred (will consider strong candidates without 3 years)
• Must have Charge experience
• Must have strong Neuro experience
  (post brain surgery, EVD experience/ventriculostomy)
  
• Neuro IV titration, Insulin IV experience
  
• Vents, IV start, Telemetry, PA Lines, Conscious Sedation skills
• AHA ACLS
• AHA BLS
• NIHSS
  
• Must be Epic proficient
  
• Travel experience preferred

Stepdown RN needed for 13 weeks with possible extension
3x12 or 4x12 (OT billed after 48 on 4x12) Nights Shift 7pm-7:30am; weekdays, EOW, Float, Holidays within contract.
Must be willing to float. Must have Charge experience. MUST HAVE STRONG NEURO EXP
Offering but not requiring 48/4x12 hour contracts (OT billed after 48)
BLS, ACLS required via American Heart Association; NIHSS required
Skills required: vents, IV start, Telemetry, PA Lines, Conscious Sedation, Neuro IV titration, Insulin IV experience, strong Neuro experience required (post brain surgery, EVD exp/ventriculostomy)
Patient types in SDU: This is a general SDU with a variety of patient populations. We primarily see: pulmonary – acute respiratory failure secondary to pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, and/or CHF exacerbation; cardiac - NSTEMI/STEMI not requiring ICU level of care and/or downgrade from ICU, +/- cardiac cath, CHF/CMO requiring BIPAP/diuresis, AFIB with RVR requiring Cardizem/Amio gtt, or complete heart block awaiting AICD/Pacemaker; sepsis not requiring pressors; minor trauma – hip/femur/ankle fracture s/p fall; CIWA; DKA requiring insulin gtt; some surgical patients – surgeries typically go to MedSurg or ICU however we do see the occasional vascular surgery (arterial bypass or compartment syndrome requiring neurovascular checks) and/or post-op complications from MedSurg.
Typical Ratios are 1:4, sometimes 1:5
Must be EPIC proficient - NO EXCEPTIONS

Local Rules: No RN candidates will be accepted if they reside less than 50 miles from facility. Drivers License MUST be provided for address verification prior to any offer acceptance.

Pay rate is estimated based on weekly gross income.

Weekly gross pay based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).

Estimated Weekly Rate: $2682 per week
