CONTROLLER Kinamed, Inc. is a privately owned manufacturer of medical devices for orthopedic, cardiothoracic, and neurosurgery. We are seeking a self-motivated Controller who enjoys working closely in a fast-paced team atmosphere. This is an in-office position based in Camarillo, CA. Benefits Offered: - 401(k) - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Paid time off (sick, vacation & holidays) Responsibilities - Complete month-end and year-end close of Financial Statements including subsidiary consolidation - Reconcile and analyze chart of accounts - Manage fixed assets, budgets, product costing, sales reporting, cash management, etc. - Assist CEO with budgeting and assist VP of Sales with revenue forecasting - Oversee Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Customer Service functions - Coordinate annual Financial Audit by outside CPA firm - Assist CEO with Board presentations and Shareholder meetings - Assist with tax preparation for Federal/State, prepare property and sales tax returns - Supervise, develop, and mentor staff - Manage internal IT functions with outside vendor assistance - Manage Human Resources, including but not limited to: placing job opening advertisements, conducting background checks, on-boarding, off-boarding, employee reviews, benefits management, etc. - Coordinate company medical, dental, and other insurance coverages - Manage Company equity plan - Assist with facilities management - Additional tasks as assigned Qualifications & Skills - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or Economics - Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an Assistant Controller/Controller role with related manufacturing experience - CPA and medical device experience a plus - Experience in finance, including cost accounting, forecast and planning, and accounting - Knowledge of GAAP - Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook/Access - Experience interacting with external auditors and tax preparers - Assist team so all tasks are completed on schedule - Self-motivated, strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Well organized, detailed orientated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks - Regular attendance is an essential job function All candidates who are presented with a conditional offer of employment must satisfy a pre-employment background check, credit screening, and be COVID-19 vaccinated.
